John has gained his knowledge as a therapist through a combination of what he has learned in school, and in his own life experiences. John has been a successful fortune 500 account executive, only to have lost everything in the Great Recession of 2008. He has been through divorce and being a single father, and went back to school in his 40s to pursue his passion of helping others.
