About
Ally is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW). She strengthened her therapeutic skills during her two-year clinical social work internship at Hudson River Care and Counseling. Ally works with clients presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, chronic health problems, and grief and loss. Outside of mental health advocacy, Ally’s interests and hobbies include traveling, cooking, and reading!
Ally aims to support her clients using a strength-based, person-centered, and solution-focused approach. She specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, and the psychodynamic approach to psychology. Each therapeutic method has distinct principles, goals, and techniques that can be tailored to meet client’s specific needs. She is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space for healing and personal growth. Her approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding that every individual’s journey is unique.
Education
-Ally graduated from The University of Delaware as a Human Services major with a Clinical Services concentration and a minor in Disability Studies. -She earned her Master's degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work and is working toward her Clinical Social Work Licensure (LCSW).
Why you are passionate about your job?
Ally is deeply committed to advocating for accessible mental health services for all individuals. This passion stems from her own positive experience with therapy, which ultimately led her to become a mental health professional. She believes everyone deserves a safe and validating space to feel understood and supported.
