Allison Waxgiser, LSW – Primary Therapist
Primary Therapist
About
Allison Waxgiser is a Licensed Social Worker and Primary Therapist who brings a holistic and trauma-informed perspective to her work. With years of experience supporting children and adolescents in residential and clinical settings, she specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. Allison believes that healing begins when individuals feel safe, seen, and connected, both within themselves and in their environment.
Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT with mindfulness, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation. She helps clients slow down, tune into their bodies, and rebuild trust in their emotions and intuition. By addressing the mind-body connection, Allison empowers clients to restore balance, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen their relationships.
Outside of her clinical work, Allison enjoys fitness, time outdoors, and creative expression through movement and mindfulness practices. She values authenticity, humor, and compassion in both her personal and professional life.
