Allyson Graves, MA, LPC, ATR – Family Therapist

About

Allyson is a therapist who believes meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, balancing emotional depth with practical tools clients can use in their everyday lives. She values creating a space where individuals, couples, and families can explore patterns, strengthen relationships, and better understand themselves without fear of judgment. Allyson works from a person-centered and systems-based perspective, integrating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and art therapy techniques to support each client’s unique needs and goals. She believes creativity can be a powerful avenue for self-expression, healing, and growth.

Professionally, Allyson’s background includes graduate clinical training at the VA and volunteer experience within a transitional housing program, experiences that deepened her understanding of resilience, life transitions, and the importance of holistic care. She is passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and periods of change while building greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing. Outside of her clinical work, Allyson enjoys engaging in creative practices and making art in her personal life, and values spending time in nature through activities such as gardening and hiking. She believes both creativity and connection to the natural world can be restorative and grounding, and brings that appreciation for balance, curiosity, and growth into the work she does.
