About

Julie graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Social Work. She also obtained a Certificate in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She has worked in the criminal justice system and behavioral health fields since 2010, holding many positions including Probation Officer, Community Supervision Manager, Home Detention Officer, Outpatient Therapist, Screening Analyst, State Hospital Social Worker, Jail Mental Health Provider, & Addictions Recovery Specialist. I presented on Criminal Justice and Substance Use at the NAADAC National Conference and the Indiana Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Indiana, and she has 14 years of experience working as a social worker providing services directly to clients. Julie is passionate about helping clients with anxiety, substance use, justice system involvement, relationship issues, & anger management. Julie loves to read psychological thrillers, engage in retail therapy, spoil her overweight cat, and attend festivals.

Julie is passionate about providing mental health care because of the connection between emotional pain and its connection with experiences, relationships, interactions, and quality of life. One must always strive for improvement in personal growth and overall well-being. Protecting and caring for mental health is one of the most important tasks in enhancing the community.
