About

Lisa has over 13 years of experience providing counseling for mental health and substance use. Lisa has worked in a variety of settings, including, inpatient hospitals, outpatient care, ACT Teams, Prison System, Private Practice, Crisis Departments in Hospitals, and in Wrap-Around Programs. She has worked with clients as young as 3 years old, up to elderly adult age clients. As an IOP therapist at Victory Bay, Lisa will work with clients to help with mental health issues, substance use issues, general wellness encouragement, help with learning coping skills to manage daily stressors, encouragement to take better care of physical health as well by promoting healthy sleep hygiene, and a healthy diet. Lisa has experience providing therapy for clients experiencing multiple stressors in their lives, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, Relationship Issues, Personality Disorders, Infertility, Gender Issues, Sexuality, LGBTQ supporter, serious mental health illnesses such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder. Lisa uses multiple modalities, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Person Centered, Humanistic Approaches with a focus on Gestalt, Logotherapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Rational Emotive Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Lisa has a Masters in Social Work with a concentration on Clinical/Mental Health/Health. Lisa has had her Clinical License in the State of PA for pass three years, and has her Social Work Associate License in New Jersey since 2015. Lisa did internships at outpatient clinics and inpatient hospitals during time in graduate school.

Why you are passionate about your job?

Therapist is passionate about clients reaching general wellness, and achieving their goals. Therapist loves the journey a client takes from being totally overwhelmed to being able to manage their stressors and emotions and being able to self-regulate and improve their overall well-being and level of functioning. Therapist feels strongly about building rapport with clients, and helping them overcome the issues that brought them into treatment.
