Mischa Patteson, LSW – Primary DBT Therapist
Primary DBT Therapist
About
Mischa has a warm and calming presence that quickly creates a sense of safety and comfort. She is curious and open-minded, letting her truly see her clients and want to understand their complexities. She has experience working with people whose lives are impacted by past and present traumas, especially intimate/domestic partner violence, sexual abuse/assault/trafficking, and childhood physical/mental/sexual abuse. In terms of diagnoses, Mischa has worked with people with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She believes everyone deserves opportunities to grow and that her role is to help clients process experiences that have disrupted their sense of self and identify and foster their strengths. She knows that defense mechanisms can and often do show up in therapy and believes in the importance of exploring them together nonjudgmentally. In her personal life, Mischa likes playing video games and spending time with her loved ones, including her fluffy cats, Reilly and Jonesy.
