Primary Therapist
About
Veronica is a Licensed Associate Counselor and Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Veronica graduated from Wilmington University in 2017 and discovered her passion for helping others with their mental health, including individuals with traumatic backgrounds. It was at that time that she set her mind to become a licensed therapist in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella, in which she graduated in 2022. She pursued a certificate in Play Therapy through Capella and completed it in 2023. Throughout her educational path, Veronica worked diligently as a Children’s Counselor and Counselor Intern, earning her clinical licenses, after which she transitioned to a Co-Occurring Therapist role. Veronica believes that therapy is a non-judgmental space to work through current issues and past traumas, as well as to work towards being the best version of oneself by learning self-care, coping skills, and emotional regulation. Veronica utilizes a combined approach to treatment and begins sessions through a person-centered lens, then adds other modalities as the client identifies their goals. Veronica is well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Veronica enjoys going on walks with her dogs and spending time with her family. Additionally, Veronica likes to go shopping and read in her spare time.
