Goals for Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is structured around comprehensive assessment and individualized to adolescents' specific needs. Our goals are to enhance understanding of mental health, while developing and honing coping skills to sustain ongoing growth, healing and development. We use a client & family centered approach for individuals in our adolescent programming, including ongoing family sessions as needed.
Goals for Group Therapy
Group therapy aims to be an immersive experience where adolescents can benefit from both the feelings of universality and support in their struggles while also gaining vital coping skills to use in everyday life. We strive to create a safe environment where skills building, process, psychoeducation and safety groups can work to inform a better quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions About Adolescent Mental Health Programs
Who is the teen mental health program for?
Our program is designed specifically for 12-17-year-olds who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns that impact their daily lives. If your teenager is having trouble focusing in school, relating to others, or feeling unwell overall due to mental health concerns, we can assist you both.
What types of therapy are offered under the program?
Our program offers a mix of individual and group therapy to provide an overall approach to care. Individual therapy is tailored to address the unique needs of your child, enabling them to learn ways to cope and understand themselves. Group therapy provides a supportive community environment where your teen can relate to others experiencing similar challenges, gaining concrete skills alongside their therapy.
Your teenager will participate in structured education programs addressing crucial issues like mental awareness, addiction, nutrition, and emotional control. These elements enhance therapy by equipping your child with information that promotes long-term health and well-being.
How much involvement will my family have during the course of treatment?
Family involvement is a key part of our approach. We invite parents or guardians to participate in the intake process, engage in family therapy, and collaboratively create crisis management plans.
We also remain engaged between family sessions to ensure active communication and that everyone is aware of how to assist your child in making progress.
What is the crisis management style?
We take safety and preparedness seriously. We work with you and your teen to create a clear crisis plan that outlines specific roles, responsibilities, and procedures to follow in the event of a crisis. Having such a plan provides peace of mind, promotes an active response, reduces confusion, and enhances your family's ability to respond effectively.
How does the program promote long-term change and development?
Our therapies focus on cultivating skills that foster ongoing healing and development after the program ends. These skills include emotional regulation, grounding techniques, interpersonal communication, identity exploration, trauma-informed care, and more.
What is the group therapy process like?
Adolescent group therapy is designed as a secure, interactive space in which your adolescent feels connected and part of a community. They learn from the experiences of others while developing vital coping mechanisms in a supportive community. These intergroup relationships are known to alleviate isolation and promote a sense of community.
